Abstract
The subband acoustic echo canceller is a good application of filter banks to eliminate the echo in teleconferencing and hands-free phone systems. Block transforms are successful implementation of filter banks. However, such filter bank systems also bring a new problem, frequency aliasing. In order to solve this new problem, we suggest adjusting the sampling rate in the block transform system. It is shown that by changing the sampling rate, the new scheme achieves a significant reduction of the echo level and solves the large computational problem.<>
