Abstract
110kV transmission lines are a very important part of modern power grids, and once a fault occurs, it will seriously endanger the normal operation of electricity. In order to eliminate its defects in a timely manner and restore normal power supply, it is necessary to promptly inspect various potential fault areas. By accurately locating the fault location of the circuit, the workload of technical personnel on inspecting the circuit can be greatly reduced. This can effectively accelerate the troubleshooting of the circuit, supply power as quickly as possible, and minimize losses. This article comprehensively introduces the current research and development status of transmission line fault detection methods, discusses the application and technology of traditional transmission line fault detection methods, and provides a detailed and systematic introduction to the theories of impedance method, traveling wave method, and fault analysis method. Thoroughly an alyzed the traveling wave fault location algorithm. Using the Matlab software module library, a transmission line system model can be established, and factors such as different fault types, transition resistances, and distances between faults of each transmission line can be simulated and analyzed to verify the accuracy of the fault location method.
