Abstract
The preciousness, sensitivity, and non renewability of ancient Chinese painting make it difficult for the vast majority of ancient Chinese painting art treasures to be displayed in specially designed display cabinets with constant temperature and humidity, and cannot effectively showcase their historical, cultural, and artistic value. The core work of this article is to establish an interactive system based on augmented reality and multimodal technology, with The Painting of The Returning of a Boat in the Wind and Rain as the research object. This system enables visitors to have interesting interactions with this painting. It not only helps tourists understand the relevant knowledge of traditional Chinese landscape painting, but also enables them to experience the joy of immersive visiting through interactive devices, empowering the aesthetic expression and knowledge dissemination of traditional painting art. On this basis, a series of evaluations were conducted, and the results showed that the system provided users with a more immersive, interesting, and personalized way to interact with traditional painting artifacts, successfully reviving this ancient landscape painting.
