Abstract

In a classroom comprising large number of students traditional attendance-taking methods, such as calling out names or passing around a sign-in sheet can become extremely time-consuming and inefficient. The large number of students makes it challenging for the instructor to manually record each student’s attendance in a timely manner. More over the process of checking attendance afterward becomes a challenging task. With a large number of students, the chances of errors in recording attendance manually increase significantly. This not only wastes valuable lecture time but also creates administrative headaches for the institution. An automated classroom attendance system designed to streamline the attendance-taking process by implementing a technologically advanced solution. The system operates by allowing teachers to effortlessly record attendance upon entering the classroom. Utilizing a user-friendly interface teachers can mark attendance on an hourly or periodic basis during each class session. The automation of this process not only reduces the time and effort traditionally spent on manual attendance tracking but also significantly minimizes the likelihood of errors.
