Abstract

Virtual reality (VR) technology possesses strong interactivity and immersiveness, capable of simulating the real world and providing people with a virtual environment indistinguishable from reality. In recent years, it has increasingly garnered the attention of technologists, especially in the field of environmental art design (EAD). Designers applying virtual reality technology in environmental art can present their designs more intuitively, allowing for a more direct experience for the audience. Building on this, the article first introduces the current application and characteristics of virtual reality technology in environmental art design, and delves into the application of the Unity engine in this field. The results of the experiments show that the use of the Unity engine in environmental art design has achieved a high innovation score of up to 91.1. This paper is of significant importance for the development of environmental art design, providing valuable guidance for researchers and designers.
