Abstract

E-business and logistics systems provide support for business activities of many enterprises. But the heterogeneities of those systems hamper their interoperations and increase the cost of integration among different systems. This paper proposes an ontology-based semantic integration framework for e-business and logistics systems, which consists of the following components: web service interface for local query, metadata management component, local ontology generation component, ontology mapping component and semantic query component. We also construct EB lexicon (e-business lexicon) and global business ontology to meet the needs of domain semantic knowledge in the integration process. Our proposed framework can effectively solve the integration of e-business and logistics systems.
