Abstract
Combined with the characteristics of the knowledge building environment and smart classroom, this research designed a Knowledge-Building Smart Classroom with flexible and responsive software and hardware, implemented the knowledge building learning in four experiment classes in primary education, and then evaluated the effect of this smart learning environment by using quantitative and qualitative methods. The results can be described in three aspects. Firstly, students generally gave high evaluations on the functional usage of the smart classroom; Secondly, students’ overall perceptions of knowledge building environment were also above medium level; Finally, the multi-channel ‘accessibility’ and convenient smooth ‘real-time interaction’ in the smart classroom had obvious positive significance for students’ individual and collective knowledge building.
