Abstract
A RFID indoor personnel location tracking system is proposed to manage the foreign visitors, for the safety issue of critical assets in confidential areas. The design of the low power wearable RFID location tag with identity binding function based on heart rate detection, and extreme low power method based on human posture are described in detail. The portable RFID location base stations and the communication protocol are designed. A virtual reference, RSS-based indoor localization algorithm and server software are developed. Based on the positioning capabilities, an illegal area access alarming function is proposed by the mean of scale mapping method. Experiments show that the RFID location tag can achieve less than 5BPM heart rate measurement error. The average location error of the system is 1.7m and the correct alarm rate of illegal access is 84%.
