Abstract
Based on the evolving needs of first responders, we propose a virtual reality (VR) training tool that aims to offer a novel training solution to first responders. In this paper we first describe the training challenges encountered by first responders, and the benefits that VR training can provide. In addition, we review the state of the art related to VR training, and we introduce our methodology, describing the key contributions it offers. Finally, we review and analyse the results of the feedback gathered from actual testing of our tool by first responders.
