Abstract

Purpose This paper is to understand the rural elderly demand willingness of different TCM medical services and its influencing factors, and to provide basis for promoting the health of the elderly. Methods 1766 valid questionnaires were collected by multi-stage sampling and self-designed questionnaires2 Analysis and logistic regression were used to analyze the influencing factors. Results Among 1766 valid questionnaires, 30.31% of the elderly were willing to accept TCM rehabilitation treatment, and 75.67% of the elderly had TCM health care needs. The factors in this study did not have statistical significance on TCM health care needs, and the wealthy individuals, self-rated unhealthy individuals and those without depression and anxiety had stronger TCM rehabilitation needs (P<0.05). Conclusion There are still many obstacles in the development of TCM medical service, which need to be further discussed in the future practice. We can improve the demand of TCM medical service by strengthening publicity and standardizing TCM medical institutions.
