Abstract

Multiuser detection techniques are considered for use by an eavesdropper in a cellular CDMA communication system with power control. Eavesdropper susceptibility to the near-far problem is demonstrated, and the induced distribution of the received power from an active user with uniformly random location within the cell is determined. Various detection schemes are compared for a log-distance path boss model with and without shadowing.
