Abstract
This paper describes a NASA-funded project that has provided students in engineering technology, computer science, geographic information sciences, and mathematics at A&M-CC with technical experience and ideas for graduate and undergraduate projects. The project involves the development of a remotely-controlled, shallow-draft vehicle designed as a supplemental tool for our studies of the South Texas coastal waters. The system transmits environmental data wirelessly via a radio to a control station in real-time. The paper will describe several undergraduate projects resulting from students' involvement in this research project
