Abstract

E-recruitment at current is one of the most widely used ways to recruit top talent for an organization. The process starts with advertising job description on a single or multiple job portals. The depth and breadth of job description defines how many potential candidates it will be able to attract. With the advent of Semantic Web, a need to define an ontology for job description can not be ignored. The current paper focus is on designing a job description ontology keeping in consideration the recruitment domain and the ontology engineering principles. The ontology is exhaustively tested by user-driven and application-driven approaches to ontology evaluation.
