Abstract

ICT has tremendously evolved in the last decade and has now focused on sustainability. This research aims to evaluate the environmental impact of ICT for an SME. Existing ICT equipment of that organisation will be examined methodologically using ISO 14040 guidelines, the SusteIT ICT Carbon footprint Tool, the Environmental Paper Network paper calculator. Interviews have also been conducted to support the audit. In order to evaluate the environmental impacts of ICT, electricity consumption, carbon footprint and paper usage will be examined.
