Abstract
The comparative study is between Clipped laparoscopic cholecystectomy and Clip less Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy between the two groups. 60 patients admitted at KIMSDU Medical College and Research Institute with calculous cholecystitis was randomized to undergo HLC and LC with 30 patients constituting each group. The study's findings were as follows pain among the right upper quadrant was the most prevalent presenting symptom in all groups, subsequent to vomiting, fever, nausea and dyspepsia. LC had a much longer duration than HLC. The LC had greater intraoperative bleeding and problems. The Visual Analogue Scale for suffering in the post-operative period was considerably lower in HLC patients than in LC patients. Oral meals were tolerated better by LC patients than by HLC patient. The LC group's stay at the hospital was much longer compared with the HLC group's (median 5 days against 3 days, respectively).
