Abstract

With the development of urbanization, the increase of the urban population has brought tremendous pressure to urban transportation. Congestion in the main urban areas and the lagging and imperfections in the construction of suburban roads have led to continuous decline in transportation efficiency. On the other hand, due to different city sizes and different spatial structures, different countries have different spatial organizations, and a single mode of transportation cannot meet the urban transportation needs of modern society. The road planning ideas of early "car-oriented" have failed to meet the general needs of society. This paper analyzes the problems in the design, construction and management of Dalian's urban roads from the perspective of " people-oriented transportation ", and puts forward rectification suggestions on traffic planning and management and traffic infrastructure construction based on the actual situation of Dalian's traffic.
