Abstract
Face clustering is one of the hot issues in the field of computer vision research, and it is also an urgent need for applications of public security, video analysis, medical security, and social governance. It needs the support of relevant technical research such as face detection, face alignment, feature extraction, and so on. With the rapid development and gradual application of face clustering technology, it is necessary to summarize and analyze the existing research. The main work in this paper includes the following: (1) studying the concept and process of face clustering; (2) summarizing the current research status in China; (3) analyzing the domestic research hotspots and trends in China; (4) prospecting the existed problems and development trends in face clustering. Finally, several challenges are put forward, such as research on face clustering algorithms, the application of face clustering, clustering evaluation methods and constraint management of industrial application.
