Abstract
E-learning systems are used to facilitate learning processes through internet, computer and communication technology. E-learning is very useful especially in distance learning. However, the statistics of unusable systems are high which means users are unable to operate the system. Fancy websites which are loaded with too many features and graphics make them even harder to use. Factors such as user’s connection speed and user familiarity with website navigation should be taken into consideration. In this paper, we apply usability attributes to an E-learning system. The purpose is to measure the effectiveness of E-learning system that is developed according to hybrid heuristic aspects. The effectiveness of the system is evaluated using two types of testing techniques; observational and query technique. A set of questionnaire is used as a tool in the testing stage. The result shows that the E-learning system with usability attributes has passed the benchmark setting. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interface and functions of the system conforms to the principles of hybrid heuristics.
