Abstract

The effective improvement of students' English reading and writing abilities is a major topic in academic English writing studies. Based on the concept of flipped classroom teaching, this study applies task-based approach. Combined with a computer-aided foreign language teaching platform, the organic integration of English reading and writing is proposed, and the adoption of the innovative teaching mode of “integration of reading and writing” is suggested. The whole teaching process is divided into three stages: pre-class, mid-class, and post-class, adopting SPSS as an analytical tool. The aim was both to improve students' critical thinking ability in reading and their comprehensive quality in English writing. Both can promote a good achievement for using the flipped classroom in managing academic English writing education in the English teaching reform.
