Abstract

Data Structures and Algorithms is the backbone course of Guangdong first-class undergraduate major-medical information engineering, and it is also recognised as the first-class online and offline hybrid course in Guangdong Province. Aiming at the “pain point” problems in the teaching of the course, the teaching team follows the education and teaching concepts and methods that are student-centered, ability-cultivation oriented, and continuously updated with the times, and constructs the “one centre, four integration” teaching mode to achieve the following goals. The teaching goal is to “establish morality as the foundation, and build a trinity of value shaping, ability cultivation and knowledge transfer’’, highlighting the cultivation of medical-industrial integration and applied talents. Teaching practice shows that the “one centre and four integration” innovation model solves the “pain point” problems in teaching, in which information technology is deeply applied to curriculum teaching through knowledge mapping and artificial intelligence (AI) tools, which comprehensively improves the comprehensive quality and ability of students.
