Abstract
A speed estimation technique based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm flux observer has been proposed for sensorless air-gap flux vector control (AFVC) induction motor (IM) drive. The rotor speed estimation scheme based on the flux observer was designed by the Lyapunov stability theory, and the gain matrix of this observer was modulated by the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Both simulation and experimental results verified the effectiveness of the proposed system.
