Abstract
The second International IEEE Workshop on 5G in Internet of Things (IEEE 5G-IoT 2018) is held in Chicago USA, in conjunction with the 43rd IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks (LCN 2018). The workshop received in total 8 submissions from the international research community. The papers went through a rigorous review process where at least three reviewers are a signed for each manuscript. The program committee members as well as external reviewers have contributed to the review process. Based on the reviews obtained, 3 papers are accepted for presentation at the workshop. The accepted papers provide insight into the literature and findings in areas related to communication aspects, applications, energy efficiency and secure communications of IoT, 5G networks and cloud communications. We would like to thank all the people who contributed to the success of the workshop. We thank the authors for submitting their works, and the reviewers for their time in providing rigorous, timely reviews. We would also like to thank Professor Hwee-Pink Tan, the chair of IEEE LCN 2018 Workshops, and Professor Fadi Al-Turjman Publications Chair of IEEE LCN 2018 for their timely guidance.
