Abstract
Motivated by compressive sensing theory, a wideband direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation model of frequency sparse sources with one receiver is proposed in this paper. This model utilizes a time-varying preprocessing mechanism to reduce both the number of receivers and received data. To estimate DOAs, an algorithm named Space-Frequency based FOCal Underdetermined System Solver (SF-FOCUSS) is presented. This algorithm can make use of the sparsity of spatial domain as well as frequency domain at the same time. The simulation results validate the robustness and high resolution of this algorithm while effectively reduce the number of receivers and received data.
