Abstract
The authoring of online educational material for microelectronics design is costly and requires expertise that the educators may not have. In this paper, we address this issue - more specifically the case of online training - and propose a technique to reduce authoring costs by reusing the documentation content from a design database. An extension for the design database model is presented, in order to comply to the LOM standard for learning objects, and a case study using a course creation tool is reported.
