Abstract
The RTSS 2021 Program Committee selected six papers for Outstanding Paper Awards. These papers are recognized for their high-quality research contributions and form the shortlist for the Best Paper and Best Student Paper Awards. They are: (1) "Automatic Energy-Hotspot Detection and Elimination in Real-Time Deeply Embedded Systems" by Mohsen Shekarisaz, Lothar Thiele and Mehdi Kargahi; (2) "Concurrent Order Dispatch for Instant Delivery with Time-Constrained Actor-Critic Reinforcement Learning" by Baoshen Guo, Shuai Wang, Yi Ding, Guang Wang, Suining He, Desheng Zhang and Tian He; (3) "Monte Carlo Response-Time Analysis" by Sergey Bozhko, Georg von der Brüggen and Björn Brandenburg; (4) "Partitioned Scheduling of Recurrent Real-Time Tasks" by Pontus Ekberg and Sanjoy Baruah; (5) "Speculative Execution and Timing Predictability in an Open Source RISC-V Core" by Alban Gruin, Thomas Carle, Hugues Casse and Christine Rochange; and (6) "TORTIS: Retry-Free Software Transactional Memory for Real-Time Systems" by Claire Nord, Shai Caspin, Catherine Nemitz, Howard Shrobe, Hamed Okhravi, Jim Anderson, Nathan Burow and Bryan Ward.
