Abstract
Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) has been developed for more than 30 years since Fairclough first proposed it in 1989. This paper uses literature analysis network CNKI and the visualization software CiteSpace to analyze the literature related to Chinese critical discourse analysis journals. Three conclusions were drawn: (1) CDA has widely absorbed theories from other disciplines, such as translation, corpus linguistics, and cognitive linguistics, and has increasingly evolved into a multidisciplinary integration. (2) News media provide a forward-looking analytic corpus for critical discourse analysis, and news discourse strategies and identity construction have been the hotspots of applied research on CDA. (3) The study approaches and objects of CDA tend to be diversified and integrated, making macro-analysis and micro-analysis complement each other, complementing qualitative and quantitative methods, improving the accuracy and thoroughness of CDA and widening the route of CDA research.
