LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 01 September 2016 — IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) and Wistron ITS signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Global Partner Program (GPP). Both sides will collaborate to provide workshops, training and IEEE CS educational products and certifications in Taiwan.
Mr. Andy Chen, the IEEE CS Vice President, Professional and Educational Activities Board, recognizes the Asia Pacific region as one of the key areas for IEEE Computer Society’s worldwide expansion. Andy commented, “IEEE CS membership has seen tremendous growth in Asia Pacific and our educational partner program has also been expanding. IEEE CS is very excited to add Wistron ITS, one of the world’s leading IT consulting and outsourcing service provider to its Global Partner Program, and we look forward to further expanding our global network in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan and the entire South East Asia region.”

The IEEE CS education modules can be categorized into the fundamental and hot-trend courses. The fundamental courses mainly eye on the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK), software development, testing, maintenance and management; and the hot-trend courses focus on competitiveness skills, such as Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things. All programs are qualified with IEEE CS certificate. Wistron ITS will work with local partners to provide IEEE CS courses and certification programs.
