Abstract

The skin is the biggest organ in the body of an individual, accounting for around 16% of total body weight. The primary goal of treating the donor site is to promote healing while minimizing complications and suffering to the previously damaged recipient. Moist healing of wounds is a reasonably widespread concept, and researchers are currently looking for the best therapy that will produce an optimum, moist environment. For the length of the trial, two groups of 50 patients each were enrolled in the study: "the Normal Saline dressing group" and "the collagen dressing group". The current investigation discovered a male predominance over the studied population. The male population made up 58% of the study population. The least and highest pain scores in conventional saline dressing were 3 and 7, respectively, while the minimum as well as maximum pain scores with collagen dressing were 2 and 6.
